Heather Abreu has been an attorney with the Kerri Phillips Law Office since 2021, focusing her practice on personal injury litigation. Heather has worked in the legal industry since 2008, working at law firms in Michigan before relocating to Texas. In addition to her current legal work, she has also represented clients in cases involving civil litigation for both the plaintiff and defense.

Heather graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature/Letters in 1996. Subsequently, she earned a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1998. She earned her law degree from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2009.

Heather was selected to the 2019 Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars by Thomson Reuters for Personal Injury - Medical Malpractice: Plaintiff and Personal Injury - General: Plaintiff.

She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Michigan State Bar Association. She is also a member of the Genesee County Bar Association and Macomb County Bar Association.

Prior to her career in law, she worked as an English teacher and PIP claim representative. Outside of practicing law, Heather spends time with her four children and runs a book club.
